Our Story

Hello!

We are Melanin Spirit, a mother/daughter duo small business originating in Brooklyn, New York. We provide hand crafted and hand poured 100% soy custom scented candles.

Our first collection, rightfully named the Melanin Heritage Collection, is a set of candles that pay homage to Historical Black Figures. Each candle is customized with distinct scents inspired by the accomplishments and lives of these Black Figures.
